    How Transactions & Profit Work

      Profit is the most important thing about business and we at Dreamscape are here to ensure you make the most out of our system and understand how profit works.
      Depending on which payment gateway or storefront channel is used, depends how you will receive your profit from transactions.

      Storefront Using Credit Card "PayExpress"


      This method provides credit card transactions on the storefront hosted and run by us using our "PayExpress" system. We take full payment from your client for the transaction, using your business name as the descriptor.

      • Full payment of the invoice taken by Dreamscape with your descriptor.
      • Difference between your wholesale rate (plus any taxes) and your retail rate = profit.
      • An invoice will be issued to your client from your business for the retail amount and we will invoice you from Dreamscape for the wholesale amount.
      • Profit is credited to your account instantly.
      • Account balance can be withdrawn, please see how to request a withdrawal page.



      Storefront Using PayPal


      In addition to the credit card option above, you can also enable PayPal on your storefront. To enable PayPal, please follow our guide here.
      As you add your businesses PayPal account to our system, your client will pay the full transaction directly to you and into your PayPal setup.

      • Full payment of the invoice paid directly into your PayPal account.
      • We charge you the wholesale rate (plus any taxes) from your account credit.
      • An invoice will be issued to your client from your business for the retail amount and we will invoice you from Dreamscape for the wholesale amount.
      • The PayPal option will not show if there is not enough credit in your account for the transaction.


      Important: If you would like to always offer PayPal on your storefront, it's important to ensure your account credit is always topped up. We highly recommend to setup automatic payments to keep your credit above a certain amount.



      Storefront Using Bank Transfer, Cheque or Cash


      The option to accept payments directly to your bank account or payment software, also cheque and cash payments can be setup on your checkout.
      These payment methods are classed as 'offline' and require you to ensure you have been paid by the appropriate method before accepting the order.

      • An unpaid invoice will be created and instructions sent to your client to pay you.
      • You will receive the entire full payment from your client directly.
      • We will charge you the wholesale rate from your credit once you mark the order as paid in the Reseller Console.



      Transactions through Reseller Console


      At times you may need to register domain names or products for your own business or purpose, or you may have arrangements to charge your clients outside of our system. All products purchased will be placed into a member account, so you can create a member for yourself or put it in your clients account for them to access.
      In this case, you can easily register the domain names and products you need within the Reseller Console using the Domains/Hosting/Products menu.
      Simply hover over the menu bar, then the product you would like to purchase and then Buy/Upgrade.

      • On the checkout process for this order, we will charge you directly the wholesale rate (plus any taxes).
      • You can pay us by Account Credit, Credit Card or PayPal.
      • An invoice will not be issued to your client for this transaction as no client payment has taken place on our side but we will issue you an invoice from Dreamscape for the wholesale amount.



      Transactions through WHMCS or API


      Using WHMCS or API usually means that you are charging your client separately using a different system.
      All transactions will be charged to your account credit the instant we receive your order.

      • We charge you the wholesale rate (plus any taxes) from your account credit.
      • An invoice will not be issued to your client for this transaction as no client payment has taken place on our side but we will issue you an invoice from Dreamscape for the wholesale amount.


      Warning: If there is not enough credit for the transaction in your account, the WHMCS/API call will fail, so it's important to ensure your account credit is always topped up. We highly recommend to setup automatic payments to keep your credit above a certain amount.
